How do I unlock a scooter?+

Open the ZapRide app, find a nearby scooter on the map, and scan the QR code on the handlebar. The scooter will unlock immediately.

Where can I park?+

Park in any designated ZapRide zone shown in the app. Avoid blocking sidewalks, driveways, or building entrances. Always lock the scooter to a bike rack when available.

Is helmet included?+

Helmets are not provided with the rental. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet at all times. You can purchase one at any local bike shop.

What if I have an issue?+

ZapRide LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects personal data you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, phone number, and payment information. We also collect ride data such as trip start/end times, locations, and scooter usage statistics to improve our service.

Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers located in the United States. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after closure, unless legal obligations require longer retention. We may share anonymized aggregate data with third-party analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@zapride.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ZapRide's electric scooter rental service. By creating an account and renting a scooter, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, including traffic regulations in Houston, Texas. You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license or state ID to rent a scooter.

You are responsible for the scooter during your rental period. Any damage, loss, or theft must be reported immediately. We reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacement. Scooters are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the ride in question.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes shall be resolved in Harris County courts. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance.

Risk Disclosure

Riding an electric scooter involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, and injuries from road hazards. You ride at your own risk. ZapRide does not guarantee your safety and is not liable for any personal injury or property damage arising from scooter use.

Always wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Inspect the scooter before each ride. If you notice any damage or mechanical issue, report it immediately and do not ride. Past performance or rider testimonials do not guarantee future experience or safety.
